A Bit About Us

The inspiration for Etta comes from our favourite, cosy local dining rooms and restaurants, the kind that feel like an extension of your living room and part of the neighbourhood.

What once was an old fish-and-chip shop has become our home, here in Brunswick East. These days, things are a little different…but fish is still on the menu! We are about fresh, seasonal produce, treated with respect. At Etta, you’ll find simple, generous and familiar flavours, served with warmth and welcome.

There’s a bar in the front that’s perfect for a quick drop in for a glass of wine and a snack, while our dining room and courtyard are ideal when you feel like settling in. From wine to produce and even our plants, we believe in supporting heroes from our backyard, because it’s all about community.

There’s great parking on both sides of Barkly Street (even better if you’re early) but be sure to avoid the permit zones. Or you could try Luscombe Street or St. Phillip Street, both just a few minutes walk away.

There is a car park on Weston St also.

Better yet, leave the car at home and hop on the tram. The 1 and the 6 stop right outside. Which is rather handy.

We send our newsletters semi-regularly, and they’re notes from us to you, to let you know what we’ve been up to. If you’d like to stay updated, sign up below.
